Fifty under £50

So here’s the plan: every week, for 50 weeks, we’re going to find out a bit more about a release that costs less than £50. We thought we’d call it Fifty Under £50 - clever, eh?

All the whiskies will be from Scotland and available for less than £50, but apart from that there won’t be any rules: most will be single malts, some won’t; some will have an age statement, others won’t; a few will be from indy bottlers, the majority won’t, some will be chill-filtered, others will have natural colour… you get the idea.

The order we feature them in will be completely random. We’ll have a swirl, a sniff and a sip and tell you what we think – and we’ll have a natter to someone at each distillery and tell you what they think.
